"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't really you, so that you can be who you were meant to be in the first place."

Hi guys! Welcome to our website! I am sitting in a parking lot in Palm Bay Florida in a little parking lot that is across from an Air Force base and connected to a little beach. We made dinner here. Black bean lettuce wraps (YUM). Gregg just finished taking a shower in the outdoor shower (a.k.a. a rinse station) they have where we also washed our dishes after dinner. So this is our first blog even though we have been on the road for three weeks yesterday. It’s hard to believe. I’m going to give you a short run down of our trip so far highlighting a bit because there is no way to fit all the amazing life that has unfolded into one blog post. Our first stop was in Mobile, AL! For those of you who don’t know, this is my sister Paige! We spent the night in her apartment parking lot by a dumpster. Class A living. (A cop came and asked us to move out of the beach lot were just parked in as I mentioned above, so we are now parked in a wal mart that says no overnight parking, fingers crossed no one tell us to come move!). Back to the beginning; my dad gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our taking off so here is a picture of us enjoying a little bubbly! We stayed there for two days before headed for Alachua, FL. Its like we were easing our way into the nomad life little by little. On the way to Alachua, I posted a picture on instagram that a friend named Scarlett saw. She told us we could come stay with her for a few days so we took her up on it! She is living at a place called the Pyramid Retreat Center in Crawfordville, FL. If you follow us on instagram, Gregg gives a good run down of all the magic this place holds. You can find us @thejourneywithN. We stayed there for two nights connecting with new friends, eating really yummy food, doing yoga, meditating, singing, and healing. We were forlorn to leave, but we needed to be in Alachua by the sixth. Off we went. We arrived in Alachua, where I received my yoga teacher training this past July. Equally a special place! We connected with friends, spent time at the Temple of the Universe, went swimming in the local rivers and local aquifers. We partook in yoga and mediation daily usually paired with cooking with friends or eating fresh ayurvedic foods. We also ventured into Paynes Prairie that is filled with hundreds of gators, wild horses, buffalo, birds of all sorts, and other wildlife.
You can’t really tell, but the alligator above is missing the top portion of his jaw. He hissed at us as we were walking along the trail. In Paynes Prairie, there is no fence keeping the hundreds of gators along the path from attacking you if they like. It was pretty cool. Gregg googled how many unprovoked gator attacks there were a year in Florida. We were relieved to know there were only seven. While we were in Alachua we had some RV trouble so we had to wait to leave until the part came in. I’ll leave all of that info for Gregg to update you guys on because mechanics are not my forte. After a beautiful eight days in Alachua, we headed south for the keys where we find ourselves now. Last night we landed in Ormonds Beach right as the sun was setting. The dogs love playing in the water and sand. This is Miles and Arya. We will introduce them one by one! Luna has lost her being off the leash privileges for now! More to come on her soon. We finished our somewhat emotional valentines day in a german beer hall in Daytona Beach. I got sketch vibes from the area and didn’t want to stay overnight, so we continued south a little ways to where we found our next Wal Mart parking lot in New Smyrna Beach FL. We are pleased to have our website up and running! You can expect updates here with loads of pictures pretty frequently. We will share with you our triumph and failures of full time RV living in all its glory. We will also have a youtube channel in the makings for all the go pro footage and interviews we will be making. Life so far is good and I am excited to see where Nancy takes us. If you wish to follow along with our blog you can click the plus sign at the bottom of the home page. There you will see a follow button that will send you our posts as we update them! Thank you for being a part of this Journey with us. All the love<3 -A
